“As someone who has struggled with weight for my entire life I have never felt good about my appearance. I’ve always felt large and awkward and out of place and not good enough. Compliments for me are frequently double edged; a comment often directed to me in my youth was “you’d be so pretty if you weren’t so fat”. I tend to avoid looking in mirrors because my reflection is a disappointment, it never seems to match with how I see myself. I avoid being in photos as much as possible and have learned to take good pictures so I have an excuse to be behind the camera.
My session with Amy made me forget about all of my insecurities for awhile. From the moment I walked in, she put me at ease and assured me that I was beautiful. The hair and makeup artist did an amazing job of turning me into a glamorous version of myself. I was stunned when I looked in the mirror.
During the shoot, Amy was very encouraging and kept reassuring me that I was gorgeous and the photos were beautiful. When she showed me the images during the reveal, I was shocked. I was like, “ Damn! who’s that girl?!?” She captured a beautiful me and not the sad, ashamed me who hides from the camera.” -Laura

Boudoir sessions can truly be so much more than making beautiful images- for me its about empowering you to see that YOU are beautiful.
